I just saw it and here is my quick review.

*No Spoilers*
Gore- There is plenty of it and it adds to the scare factor
Acting- ok, but who cares it's a horror movie
Story- Great, it was funny, exciting, and scary
Ending- I liked the ending but it wasnt anything really shocking
Sexuality- There were some boob shots

Overall: I liked this movie, I thought it had some very funny parts. I like good and gory movies and this was one of them. Everyone should see it, it is worth the $7 to go see it. I will give it a 4 out of 5.

Hello all
this subject inspired me enough to FINALLY become a member! And this marks my first post... here goes...

So I saw this movie last night around midnight and pretty much the only previews I saw for it all occured earlier that day on Comedy Central.... and from what I had heard on the net and from mags was that Cabin Fever was supposed to be SCARY... unlike the last six or so recent theatrically-run horror releases....

Was it scary?

Kinda. More than anything I've seen since The Ring..... but this didn't have the suspense scariness, the building of anticipation. It was more like stomach churning gore and it looked AMAZING! I might not agree with Peter Jackson's quote on the TV spots exactly, but I could see reflections of his gore work from Bad Taste oozing itself from Cabin Fever.

This movie is NOT for the weak of stomach and, in my opinion, it ranks with House of 1,000 Corpses....

Lions Gate is quickly becoming my new favorite horror distributer to the theater!

I thought the movie was awesome. Definately better than stupid house of 1,000 corpses could ever be. It was kinda a twisted messed up movie I thought. I'll probably be seeing it again.

I fucking loved it, finally we get a movie that has a whole shitload of hype surrounding it and it actually lives up to it! I love how it's a completely original film, but it finds subtle ways of paying respect to the great horror films that came before it. The only complaint I have about it is[spoiler:77ad74fc0a]at the end, with the redneck that owns the store and the black guys come in to buy the gun. Did anyone else find this completely fucking stupid and utterly unnecessary? When the redneck says "Hey, what's up my n******" (or something like that), I just groaned[/spoiler:77ad74fc0a] Other than that I thought it was a great flick. Will be seeing it again soon.

5/5

I'm catching this tonight... I can't wait to see it again, and hopefully I get to show my friends that... whatever I said earlier in my review. Something about Eli Roth... and the new face for horror... whatever.

And hopefully the tongue in cheek humor holds up. It damn well better stand the test of time, since it's made such a mark on me over the last couple of months.

Yeah, pretty killer stuff there. Still, I think us horror fans can look past the part I mentioned, but it could hurt the film with "mainstream" audiences, with that being pretty much their final taste of the film. Anyway, it didn't hurt the film for me, I just wished it hadn't ended with such a stupid joke.
