Default Dracula Untold (2014)

Searched and couldn't find a thread for this upcoming film. Directed by Gary Shore and starring Luke Evans as Vlad Tepes. Currently in post production and set for release on October 17th, 2014.

Looks like this could be interesting.... with a 100 million dollar budget let's hope they don't fuck it up!

This looks exactly like I, Frankenstein. I'll pass.

Oh hell no. This is from Legendary Pictures, so hopefully that means something.

I, Frankenstein is the worst movie of the year thus far. What a waste.

I created the Frankenstein thread and now this!?

Seems like the rebooting universal monster phase is in again.

How long before The Creature From The Black Lagoon and The Mummy get new adaptations.

Frankenstein intrigues me with James Mcavoy.

This intrigues me as well even though I'm not a big Luke fan.

The Black Lagoon has been in the work for ages and I doubt it will happen.

A Mummy reboot was in the works but they already lost the last two directors that was attached to it.

After looking at what Legendary has made I'm a bit more optimistic. There's a few in there I don't like but they do are pretty consistent in getting good movies made.

Still, a $100 Million dollar Dracula movie with first time writers and a first time director just screams disaster to me.

Creature has gone through development hell way before I was born!

It's a shame too because I think a new adaptation of The Creature would be really cool to see if they got the right people to do it.

Looks like Batman Begins. Are they trying to make Dracula into some kind of hero?
