Same here! For me this was the biggest surprise of 2012, badass film.

I need to get my ass to the theater and see this. Stallone's Dredd was a travesty so I can't imagine this being any worse. Looks like a strong cast. I heard Karl Urban is badass, I'm just hoping he keeps the helmet ON. And hopefully this movie is the kind of movie Judge Dredd should be.

I was pretty disappointed with this movie. Especially considering how many see this as one of the best this year (really!?).

It's a decent, mindless action romp, but really nothing more. I think what ultimately dragged it down for me was the massive usage of CGI blood. It simply takes you straight out of the action. The many slow motion scenes got pretty old too.

Plus side, Lena Heady, Karl Urban and Olivia Thirlby all did great.

I agree, beyond the stunning and frenetic action scenes, there is not much more.

It was decent, but when the simplicity of an argument is not supplemented with details, when they dont decorate a script with some touch of originality of some sort, we find a flat film, more mediocre than powerful, more video game than anything else.

I was pretty disappointed in this. The 'slow-mo' scenes were cool at first...and then I kept wishing they were over. And all the CGI blood made it seem kinda cheap.

Karl Urban was pretty awesome, and kept his helmet ON! lol

I liked it more than you but after watching it multiple times with some friends some stuff really stuck out for me.

Everything involving the slo-mo felt like an excuse for the studio to whore out the 3D tech. It got a little annoying after while.

And it wouldn't hurt them to use some practical bullet hits here and there.

But it's still a violent and fun action film with some great performances. An enjoyable popcorn flick.

Nothing more, nothing less.

I liked it because it's been ages since we've had a really balls out, violent action flick. A real genuine 80's style shoot em up. Loads of the blood is CG and that usually annoys me but I could look past it with this flick.

I watched it stoned and the slo mo scenes were unreal.
