Baracuda - 2.5/5
State of Emergency - 3/5 Really wasn't sure about this one. It's more drama then zombie, but wasn't horrible.
The Swarm - 4/5 Extremely dated, but still great.
Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia - 4/5 Much better then the first.

This was a well-done movie with some thoughtfulness and humour as well. I liked the soft look and the editing, they set the whole thing in the right mood. Paul Giamatti is truly a good actor, though I think criminally underrated and mostly used for intellectual Woody Allen-like roles. Too bad, because the guy really got it.
Glad that I finally catched it - thanks to Rev for drafting it in the AGD game.

Solid movie. I need to rewarch it sometime.

"In The Valley Of Elah"....This dramatic thriller treads lightly on the politics, but mostly concentrating on the unfolding mystery of what happened to a young soldier who vanishes shortly after returning from a tour of duty in Iraq. Looking for answers are his father, a former sergeant in the Army's Criminal Investigation Division, and a young female civilian detective, who gets involved in the case. While director Paul Haggis gets uniformly good performances out of all the casts characters, the movie belongs to Tommy Lee Jones as the grieving father and Charlize Theron as the determined detective. Both turn in top notch performances, but it is Jones who truely shines in his Oscar nominated role for Best Actor(2007). The screenplay is terrific and the story unfolds beautifully throughout the film. The supporting cast is strong, but I wished there was a bit more for Susan Sarandon to play as the grieving mother.

9/10

"Jurassic Park 3".....I think this is underrated by many. It is almost as great as the first and is better than the second. A few more new dinosaurs are featured, more terrific special effects, and another wonderful cast highlight the movie. Great having Sam Neil back into the series as well as a supporting turn by a returning Laura Dern. Tea' Leoni and William H. Macy were fine in their roles. The kid was great too..and I cant forget the smoldering Alessandro Nivola as "Billy" ( oh my..what a package this man has...LOL). Part 3 is also packed with thrilling adventure, suspense, thrills, and good action.

8.5/10
