The Place Beyond The Pines (2013) - 10/10

An absolutely brilliant drama, with tons of great performances and some really unexpected turns.

Spring Breakers (10/10) - Absolutely loved this, will likely be my film of the year. Awesome visuals glamorized a life of sin and temptation while satirically juxtaposing it. This was just plain awesome.

Scary Movie V (6/10) - Scattergun humor that was hit and miss but it provided enough hits to be entertaining. I'd say if you like Scary Movie 3 then this is worth a rent.

Wes Craven's New Nightmare - 10/10

Imo, the best of the series. I love the original, but I think this beats the original simply because it has a stronger & more fluid ending. Both films are highly cerebral, which I love, and both are Craven at his best. Considering what the latter sequels did to Freddy, especially part six, I think Wes came up with the most logical next step to take. This still seems to be a very underrated movie, which is a shame because it's so damn good.

Bruse Lee, My Brother

Or something.

It was pretty good, although I found the acting very lacking. I had no idea the amount of shit Bruce Lee went though in his life. I did some reading and the movie is pretty damn true. Made from a book that his brother wrote.

That whole drug shit with the child labour, and the way he got them caught was utterly heart pumping. Not like it's a huge action sequence. But to be that age and doing things like that... Well... Fuck. I didn't see it from the beginning, it's something I'm going to have to keep my eye open for.

Didn't Mike Patton do the score for this?

Paranormal Activity 4 - 5/10

Same shit different title. The endings are what really keep ruining these movies for me. This ending was especially stupid. The first PA was great and relied on subtlety and buildup. These sequels just seem like a disorganized mess. There is very little tension and way too many jump scares. This is turning into the SAW franchise all over again...

The Skin I Live In (2011) - 8/10

Awesome movie! It drug on a little at first but its the closest thing to a soap opera I've ever watched and I got totally into it. Plus the idea of synthetic skin seems interesting.

Ticks - What da fuck. I have no words. First viewing and it's probably one of the best monster movies I've seen in a while. Alfonso Ribeiro puts on the performance of his life. IN fuckin SANE. Don't know how this one slipped by me. I was doin alot of LSD in 1993. 10/10
