Yeah I know.

Sad to say, but his writing was better when he was drunk and high all the time.

Dark Skies- Awesome. One of the best alien abduction/horror films l've seen. Certain parts of this movie are absolutely unsettling. My only complaint is that we don't get to see Keri Russell getting probed. 8.5/10

That's good to hear, I wouldn't mind seeing something at the cinema.

Horrible Bosses (8/10) - Pretty entertaining with some very funny moments. Jennifer Aniston is just . Its one of the better comedies of recent times.

Black Caesar 1973 (9/10) - Awesome blaxploitation although this film shouldn't be pigeon holed as its just a great film in general. I loved Fred Williamson in this and the James Brown soundtrack is killer.

And When Did You Last See Your Father? - I never, ever want to see Colin Firth wanking in the bath ever, ever, ever again. Ever. However, I did enjoy the thought of Jim Broadbent dying slowly and painfully of bowel cancer.
Darby O'Gill and the Little People - Best. Leprechaun. Film. Ever. Co-starring a pre-Bond Sean Connery as an Irishman with a Scots accent.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame ('82) - Rather than play Quasimodo, Anthony Hopkins plays Charles Laughton playing Quasimodo. The impersonation is quite startling. Fairly decent retelling of the tale.
Trapped - I'm quite possibly the only person on the planet who thinks this is a decent little thriller. Besides, it's got Charlize Theron looking hot, so that's definitely a plus.

Looking forward to this one, even knowing now that there's a distinct lack of Keri Russell probing.

lol agreed

I highly recommend this movie and for anyone to label it as lies are wearing blinkers and possibly depriving people of a worthwhile experience. The fact the movie has created debate shows it has done its job.

The lead in ZDT clearly wasn't fond of the methods and I wouldn't say they exactly worked... In the film or in real history. I feel that by the end I was questioning wtf the purpose of all the death and violence was at all. Was it really for better or worse? Were those actions justified? No real answers were given and it certainly isn't a FUCK YEAH GO USA type movie in the slightest.

I also disagree about the anti Arab themes... Just put yourself in the middle of a war and imagine how you would act in such a hostile environment... You have to know your enemies and be on your toes.
except he didn't act that way towards the kid until he thought someone had kidnapped him, and tortured him to death. Afterwards he was like "fuck this kid, they all look the same, and he fooled me"

If anything, the film showcases the struggles the CIA had in gaining information, once the "torture" program was eliminated by the Obama administration.

Whether or not you think the events in question(did they actually kill Bin Laden) are true at all, is up to you. Regardless, it's all tastefully done, and the film isn't some "Ra! Ra! America!" picture, at all.

As a person who hated "The Hurt Locker", I would recommend seeing this. It's really intriguing stuff.
Exactly

It's not whether I believe they killed Osama, I just think the films are extremely exploitative to the times, and I have no desire to really see them, but people keep saying how "awesome" these movies are, so I'll prob end up watching it. I assure you I wasn't ignoring your responses, just gotta be selective when I post, cuz I usually post when I'm at work.

The Imposter - documentary about a family in texas who's son goes missing, and turns up in spain 3 years later. I enjoyed the reenactment portions. I love that this doc plays out kinda like a thriller movie, twisting, and turning into new directions you wouldn't think of. 8.5/10

Holy Motors - French arthouse. pretty weird story that's open to interpretation, about a master performer, who's job is to ride around all day in a limo, only stopping to perform odd jobs, in different costumes. Denis Lavant carries the film, with his awesome range, and should recieve some sort of award. 8/10

The Asphyx - is about a scientist who photographs a man near death, and discovers the existence of souls. When he begins to explore further, with film, the film itself morphs into a tale of immortality. I kept thinking "ha, British ghostbusters, with a lot more dread. 8/10

Took a break from watching some draft picks.

The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires (1974)

Fun horror/kung fu flick from Hammer/Shaw Bros. Lots of blood, cheese, kung fu fighting and throw in some Peter Cushing!

Van Helsing and Dracula both felt like they were thrown in just to make it "Hammer" and the fight scene with Dracula lasts a measly 20 seconds.

Still a fun ride.

8/10

note: the new disc has some speed issues. Movie looks like it's running faster than what's natural.

Syngenor (1990)-7/10
The Zero Boys (1986)-7/10
Drive (2011)-10/10
