"The River Wild"....A sometimes flawed but good dramatic thriller. With a good cast and beautiful cinematography. The suspenseful rafting scenes are nicely executed. I also think the final showdown was a letdown and "Wade" was killed off to easily.
6.5/10

The final film from Crypt of Terror: Horror from the South of the Border-Vol.1...
Don't Panic (1988) A 17 year old boy (who wears dinosaur pajama's) accidently unleashes the soul of a killer from an ouja board and it ultimately possesses his best friend and goes on a killing spree. The cheese level on this one is really HIGH but the movie itself is a lot of fun if you're the right state of mind. It borrows a lot from the NOES franchise and even though it was filmed somewhere in Mexico it looks and feels a lot like any US town. It also looks like, for the most part, it was filmed in English (there's an english and spanish version on the disc) The lead character is hilarious to watch but there's a few bloody murders that are pretty good including an effective knife through the mouth gag. Dumb, cheesy and for me fun stuff. 7/10 Last edited by The Geek; 02-13-2013 at 01:23 AM. |

I blind bought this the very first day it came out and I couldn't of been happier with my decision. Such a great film. I've done a bunch of ride alongs and tours with the LAPD, and Gyllenahal and Pena's acting is spot on with what I experienced with the patrol officers I rode with. Like you said, it gets better with every viewing as well. - 9/10

"Labyrinth".....Another terrific Jim Henson movie. David Bowie is awesome as "Jareth The Goblin King". Jennifer Connelly as "Sara" is ok in the role. The character grated my nerves at times and the same goes for Connelly's performance. The sets and puppets are terrific and the soundtrack is hip. The visuals are also nicely done. All in all, this film is a fun and imaginative 80's classic, but I think The Dark Crystal is the best out of the two.
8/10

![]() Would You Rather - 5/10 It actually had me laughing quite a bit, thanks to Jeffrey Combs. Other than that though it was pretty much what I expected and not very good.

Star Wars- Episode Vl: Return of the Jedi- By far my favorite Star Wars movie. A glorious spectacle of old school effects, with some of the best puppetry ever filmed. And to Hell with the haters, l love the Ewoks. They stepped up and kicked the Empire right in the nutsack, and for that the fuzzy little bastards have my utmost respect.
