Once Upon a Time in the West 10/10

S Diary (2004)
Korean romantic comedy

Good stuff. It was reviewed as 'raunchy' upon its release but that's only by Asian cinema standards. The film is pretty light (no nudity or vulgarity) but there's plenty of sexual innuendos throughout. The female protagonist is a blast to watch. The director only has two films under his belt - This and Sad Movie (2005).

The ABCs of Death - 8.5/10

While it's pretty hit and miss, and I can see why a lot of people won't like it, I loved it. While there were some pretty terrible sequences, I still ended up enjoying the most of them. Also, I'm really fond of anthologies with tons really short segments, like this one and Tales of Terror from Tokyo.

I didn't look on rotten tomatoes. I just saw that it had under 3 stars for the Netflix rating.

It's a great film. I haven't been that anxious while watching a film in years. I was skeptical about 90 minutes in a box, but it was carried out so god damn perfectly.

Dredd
Solid sci-fi action with the reticent cop, this time within a huge building, which is terrorized and reigned by a ruthless gang, lead by a female called Ma-Ma (!).
The plot is thin and the dialogues as well, but the visuals and action definitely not. Sometimes pretty violent but not that hardcore, like many here proclaimed. Though, I missed the irony and witticism from the original, similar to the Total Recal remake.
For an once again unimaginative remake project a decent and visually stunning sci fi movie, in the end I was entertained.
