Resolution - 7.5/10

I've heard of the phrase "leave it up to your imagination", but this one was pushing it overboard with an ending that's sure to devide viewers as the Last Exorcism did. It earns alot for creating such an engaging story for the first three and a half quarters of the film, but I found it to dissolve into the lazy way out style of ending. I liked it, and it had so much potential, but it won't make it on to my end of the year list.

I can see where you're coming from though.
Precisely. I get that it helps establish the characters and propels the story forward but for me it feels painfully slow. But I still love IB and it's certainly one of his best films.

As for the bar scene, perfection.

"Wrong Turn 5".....The weakest in the series so far. This one has a weak cast and some really bad special effects and makeup effects in numerous scenes. The character of the sheriff had promise, but the actress was mediocre and couldn't pull off a strong performance. Doug Bradley as "Maynard" is good and the sexy Paul Luebke as "Gus" is a highlight. There were also a few awesome death scenes that were intense and brutal. Other than these few highlights I mentioned, the movie still failed. They need to stop the series!!

4/10

Definitely the weakest entry. Pissed me off honestly 'cause part 4 is my personal favorite and was hoping 5 would be on a par with that. Bleh.

Resident Evil: Retribution - 7.5/10

Yeah these movies are absolutely idiotic and over-stylized. That's exactly what I like about them. Incredibly choreographed action scenes, awesome CGI, zombies, creatures, gun fights, I love this shit.
