Just got out of the theater!

Watched The Impossible with Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor! 9/10

Folks this is the closest to a real adaptation of a natural diasaster that I have ever seen! It's SHEER HORROR at it's finest and yet sadly true.

Tons of blood and tons of OUCH moments.

It will make you grimace with the feeling of total and utter sadness with the feeling that there is still light at the end of the tunnel.

I implore anyone to go see it!

This is one of my favorite South Korean films. Simply fantastic. Bong Joon-ho is working on his English language debut, a film called Snowpiercer that sounds very promising. I'm loving that my favorite Korean directors are making their way over here. Joon-ho is the third so far.

That looks really good. The 3 minute trailer made me tear up... Gonna bring tissues with me when I see it!

I enjoyed this one myself, especially the ending. But, I gotta give the top horror spot to Cabin in the Woods this year. Haven't seen too many horrors that came out this year though.

Starship Troopers
Great seeing it on BluRay with a decent transfer. I hate to say it, but the CGI is beginning to age. It has held up very, very well for a 16 year old or so movie. Some scenes still look great but others are starting to look a bit tacky. It doesn't take too much away from the feel. I've always had a soft spot for this flick. Some new features would have been nice.

Psycho
Great BluRay transfer. Can't really say anything that hasn't already been said a hundred times. Perkins performance still leaves you just speechless. Masterful film.

I love Asian films, and I'm currently checking out and discovering more and more directors. Memories of Murder impressed me, so I'll have to watch some of Bong Joon-Ho's other films.

Gozu (2003) - 8/10

While not as good as Audition, Ichi The Killer and Visitor Q, it's still a pretty good and really messed up film.

Same here, I'm an Asian film fanatic. I just downloaded Pieta, which is Kim Ki-duk's new very twisted drama/thriller. Supposed to be real good, but then again, most of his films are.

And, have you seen Bedevilled yet? That's a powerful one.

God damn that's one of the best shootouts I've ever seen. Second time around it was even better. Love this fucking film.
