"A League Of Their Own".....This movie is a blast!! Great ensemble cast...funny....exciting....and touching. Geena Davis looks absolutely lovely in here and delivers a solid performance. Tom Hanks is a hoot. Lori Petty and Madonna were both pretty good and Rosie O'Donnell is awesome. Wonderful directing, great cinematography and art direction, as well as a solid screenplay. I also love Tracy Reiner as "Betty Spaghetti". Wonderful and heartbreaking supporting performance when her character learns her husband has been killed in the war. Her outcry just sucker punches you. Drama and cattiness also highlight the movie..which I love. It's a smash hit!!

"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2"....This sequel is good, but think it could have been almost as great as the 1st if it was a little more "serious" and less campy, over the top, and down right annoying in some scenes. The character of "Leatherface" is written poorly. The writer made him to be some fucked up clown most of the time!! This character is suppose to be frightening and menacing, but those things are almost completely stripped of him. Caroline Williams as "Stretch" is good for the most part, but all her screaming grated my nerves most of the time. Bill Moseley is awesome in the role of "Chop Top", and Dennis Hopper(Lefty) is "alright". But I think Moseley steals the show and portrays one of the most memorable characters in horror history. Tom Savini's makeup effects are top notch and directing by Tobe Hooper is good.

V/H/S - Meh. A couple of decent stories, but pretty boring for the most part. I think what hurt it, is that every single story is a slow burn of sorts. Every story has very unlikable, irritating characters, you have to watch skulk around for ten or fifteen minutes, before anything happens. I liked the first one called "Amateur Night", and the very last one, but that's it.

I also thought the title "VHS" was pretty misleading. All these videos were shot with digital cameras. I was expecting this to take place in the 80's, or early 90's, before digital. I thought that was supposed to be one of the main hooks, to convince the audience that it was "real". Being shot on digital, took me out of the moment, because any amateur filmmaker with a decent special effects program, could more or less make these films.

5/10

Killer Joe - Great performance by Mcan....Macaughna.....Matthew. Great performance by Matthew. Great performances all around actually. The movie reminded me of "The Killer Inside Me", in terms of it's off the wall vibe. It's a very dark comedy. It has a cartoony, almost "Pushing Daisies"-esque look to it. It walks a fine line between morbid, and absurd. So much, that the comedy element may be completely lost on some folks. I mean, is it "funny" to watch a woman forcibly giving head to a chicken drumstick, or is it disturbing? Personally, I think it's hot.

Twilight - 5.5/10

Not the worst movie I've ever seen, just incredibly dull of lifeless. With better actors and dialogue this could have been a more tolerable experience. I feel like these aren't as horrid and disgusting as a lot of people say, but its popularity remains beyond my comprehension. It just is dull and empty.
