Deep Rising - Been waiting for years for a decent release of this one, and it's finally on Blu-ray, looking gorgeous, and reminding me what an awesomely silly, fun, glorious film it is. - 9/10

Chain Letter - Rarely do I give a movie a pass based on kills over story/substance. But exceptions can be made. Though the story is a veritable swiss cheese of plot holes, the movie as a whole isn't that bad a slasher, and it has some of the most amazing, inventive, brutally gory chain-related deaths ever recorded. - 7/10

Sometimes it's nice to go braindead and enjoy a couple of horror movies for what they are, and not worry about what they aren't.

That was one weird ass movie. I wouldn't say I was hating it. My mate turned it off at the first sex sene though.

The Cabin In The Woods

As much as I don't want to like it I can't help it. I don't love it or anything but I do enjoy it. And off the top of my head it's probably the best US horror I've seen in a good 5 - 10 years. That's saying fuck all though.

It was my second viewing, and because generally any modern horror sucks that much ass it isn't funny.
