Star Trek: First Contact (1996)
Amazing movie.. probably my favourite of all the Star Trek films (even Wrath of Khan, which I think is slightly overrated). All the cast are great.. especially Alice Krige as the Borg Queen.. love her. Best science fiction film of the 90s, by far. Kicks the shit out of The Phantom Menace. 10/10 |

My favourite Star Trek flick that I've seen is Nemesis. I haven't seen too many though.

But to put it up against Star Wars is VALID all Star Trek films are classics and the war against Star Wars vs Star Trek is honestly stupid! All the films have some sort of flaw and of course Star Trek is under appreciated to the average moviegoer all though it's gaining popularity again with the new film and upcoming film.

Saw Life Of Pi today! I read the book a few months back and honestly enjoyed it the film on the other hand met the expectations nicely it was visually stunning and overall superb acting.
I would easily say a 9/10 and may be up for an academy award.

The Curse of the Werewolf (1961)
I would have loved this one if there was more werewolf action. The stuff with the werewolf is great and Oliver Reed delivers a great performance. I also loved the adult nature of the storyline. I prefer Curse of Frankenstein and Horror of Dracula to this one but I enjoyed it. 7/10 Last edited by The Geek; 11-26-2012 at 12:15 AM. |
