![]() Megamind (2010, 6/10) While there was nothing new or unique about this animated flick it did have a few chuckle worthy moments and an awesome metal soundtrack, it was good for killing a couple of hours yesterday but I doubt its got much replay value for anyone other than the kiddies. The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984, 7/10) & Muppets from Space (1999, 7/10) Man, how times change . When I was a kid I loved the Muppet movies but I found it a little hard to get into these when I watched them yesterday, the saving grace for both was Animal (Woman, Woman!!!). Both flicks felt quite dated IMHO and a lot of the jokes were kinda flat. It is just me or is the ending for Muppets Take Manhattan real abrupt?

Noroi: The Curse - 9/10
Best and most creative found footage film I've seen to date. It shouldn't have taken me so long to get around to it.

The Phantom Of The Opera (1943)
They even did great remakes back then. For Christ's sake. My main problem with it is I'm not entirely an Opera fan, so the prolonged scenes of it tend to drag for me personally. That and the unmasking scene wasn't overly shocking. That was due to Rains not wanting to look too disfigured and become typecast though. It works, not to mention his great performance. 8/10

Snow White And The Huntsman
Wow, what shitty ass acting. Even from Hemsworth and Theron. The story isn't completely terrible, as the material does have good versions around but this is pretty damn woeful. I think it's largely due to the absence of anyone acting. It is Sanders first film, but still. It's pretty damn weak. 2/10

Chillerama 6/10
Wearbear was fucking retarted. The other segments were pretty decent, though. Nothing amazing, but worth a watch. |
