It's amazingly done. Just goes to show CGI should fuck right off.

Easily a 10/10

The Invisible Man is brilliant. Dracula and Frankenstein get all of the love so that's why this film is always overlooked. Claude Rains' performance is great, and the effects, for that period are excellent.

Predictable, but still pretty good for a mainstream horror flick. The atmospheric music probably made it much better than it really is, because they did a hell of a job with the sound in this one.
Going to watch this tonight. I'm looking forward to it.

Agreed, and dude, the effects still look great, and are better than half the shit you see today.

Sinister
Though the outcome of the story was predictable and the acting of Ethan Hawke sometimes horrid as well, the film wasn't that bad at all. An eerie score from the great Christopher Young kept me on the edge of my seat and generated multiple goosebumb attacks on my back. Plus the opening scene with

the hanging family
was pretty shocking too. Solid, but not that great as hailed from some folks.

7/10

After a third viewing I can finally give my consensus on this odd film. Certainly not as good as the first film, but unsettling, tongue-in-cheek, and all around weird and easy to watch.

This article made me appreciate the film much more.

I think it was horrible and laughable. They literally raped the fantastic original.

The score was great and clearly the highlight of the film. Christopher Young is a master in creating creepy scores. He pulled my nails out of their nail bed with Exorcism Of Emily Rose.

It's cliche as shit, but a hell of a lot better than most of those cliche hollywood haunting/ghost stories that we normally get.

Yeah, he was on point with that one as well. Haven't seen that in a long time.

Read that article, it made the idiotic and shallow characters make sense.

Also watched some classics:

Psycho
Halloween

Interesting watching these two back to back - both mother and daughter (Janet Leigh and Jamie Lee Curtis), and to see how the slasher film evolved. Though I think Psycho is the better film, as it is so well crafted, probably the greatest horror movie of all time.
