We Need To Talk About Kevin - For the third time. Few movies have the power to make me watch them over and over in such short order, but this one has me by the balls. Whether it's the subject matter, or the performances, or the soundtrack, this flick just gets better and better, and I can't get enough. Maybe I'm just depressed and enjoy the misery that this film exudes..........nahhhh, this movie just kicks all sorts of ass on every level.

10/10

I'm going to have to check out the rest of Lynne Ramsy's work.

I'd like to revisit this but once was enough for me. It's great, but just too powerful of a flick. The ending kicks you in the head.

Picked up Blade Runner The Final Cut on Blu Ray, great transfer and it was good seeing the film again after 2 years.

I also grabbed Tinker Taylor Solider Spy but haven't watched it as of yet.

Yeah, it's pretty damn powerful. That's the kind of stuff I love though. A movie that can make you really feel something, whether it's pleasant or not.

I like hard hitting films as well, but this one really got to me. How that child was so cruel to his mother, who just wanted to do the normal thing and raise and love him, only for him to completely rip her life apart is just devastating.

Add to that Swintons incredible but heart breaking performance and you have a film that really does sucker punch you.

Piranha 3DD (2012)

Doesn't touch Aja's film but is a lot of B-movie fun on its own. Smaller in scope compared to the first film (I call bullshit on IMDB's reported budget of $20 million) but has a good cast, great cameos by Gary Busey, Christopher Lloyd, Ving Rhames and The Hoff, enough blood and boobage and an excellent and hilarious third act.

Overall I had a great time.

8/10

"The Crazies"....This 1973 George Romero classic is a lost classic treasure. Some nicely done performances by many of the cast(mostly male),wonderful cinematography, a few shocking moments, drama, lots of action, and suspense are all found in this movie. There is also some really lame dialogue to go along with the goods of the movie. Romero did a fine directing job and the movie sort of has a NOTLD feel to it. A classic gem of the action/thriller genre!!

7/10
