The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo '11 -- 7/10; Filmically there is little wrong with this movie, apart from it being overlong (due to redundancy) and having a few clunkly transitions, but the source material leaves much to be desired and proves that characters rarely surpass plot. In this case, dropping a unique character into a boring investigation rarely makes the investigation less boring. For a whodunit with a similar style but better writing, see The Ghost Writer.
