Blame it on Rio - the first romantic comedy i've ever watched that was that old.

Dear Mr. Gacy - A pretty convincing turning-to-the-dark-side movie.

Finally got around to seeing Troll Hunter tonight. Not too bad of a film.

The Innkeepers. I rented this from Comcast On Demand tonight and really liked it. I have been impatiently waiting to see this film since earlier this year. After seeing Ti West's House of the Devil, I was all up for his next effort. Innkeepers has what people call, the slow burn type of pace to it, just like Devil, but uses an assortment of comedy through out the first 2/3 of the film to lighten it up. Sara Paxton as Claire and Pat Healy as Luke have really natural chemistry between them and they were entertaining to watch. The only thing thats not sitting so well with me since the film ended (about 25 minutes ago) is the ending. Not that I thought it was bad or anything, but I think I was just expecting more. I felt like there was something missing from the finale. I really don't know how to explain it. Anyways, it wont effect me as for as watching it again. I will probably buy it on Blu when it's released. The ending aside, it's a really solid old fashioned haunted hotel/ghost story. Ti West has easily become someone who's work I will keep an eye out for.

The Innkeepers: 4/5

Meat Grinder (2009)
8 / 10

Meat Grinder is a dark drama, black, sad and real, which includes gore scenes, the gore is good and direct, the woman massacring people when takes any kitchen utensil is worth seeing, there are plenty of blood, at this point, it's important to clarify that has a couple of scenes very well done.

A soundtrack that transported me to another place. Beautiful. The director was given the luxury of playing with all the tools that had at his disposal: Sound, image (there are black and white parts, etc). Which, I appreciate very much. In conclusion it is a drama with blood, and lots of it. Definitely interesting.
