I'm highly anticipating Batman 3, and I'm hoping that the Penguin does not appear as a villain, as I've always found him to be pretty damn boring. I'd love to see someone like Black Mask, though, who is very underrated, and very deadly. He'd work very well into this universe, imo.

Yeah, I agree that Black Mask would be good in the new Batman movie. I'm still hoping that Harley Quinn is one of the villains in the new Batman movie. I highly doubt Harley Quinn will be in it though.

People should clarify which Nolan they are talking about. There are two Nolan's working on the new Batman movie and there were two Nolan's who worked on The Dark Knight as well. There is Jonathan Nolan and of course Christopher Nolan. They are brothers.

The Dark Knight was written by both Nolan's but I believe the new batman movie is only written by Jonathan Nolan and David Goyer.

I doubt Harley Quinn will appear simply because her origin is tethered to the Joker, and as far as I know, Nolan doesn't plan on using the Joker again in his series of films.

As you can see the next Batman movie is listed in his filmography and Doug Jones is listed as being The Riddler.

its not very definitive when they have two actors both rumored to be playing the Riddler. Not to mention when Dark Knight was coming out Anthony Michael hall was listed on IMDB as playing Edward Nygma. Don't believe anything until Christopher Nolan or Emma Thomas announces something.


I know I will probably get some flack for this but I am a real Batman fan, I read all the comics, the animated series, etc. etc. Nolan said he is planning to not just make this his last Batman film but a completion to his "trilogy" and to me what would make sense is that since a big part of The Dark Knight was that Bruce Wayne was planning to quit being Batman for Harvey Dent, "the real hero of Gotham" that with the third movie would if it is about the passing of the torch to Robin. They could even merge the multiple robin stories to create some really interesting things.

Also for a trilogy I would think bringing Talia Al Ghul in to seek revenge against Bruce Wayne and Batman would make sense because you would have the love interest with her as well.

You can deny that The Riddler won't be in the next Batman movie all you want. When The Riddler is officially announced as being in the next Batman movie you can act all surprised by saying something like "OMG I can't believe The Riddler is going to be in the next Batman movie." and I will say something like "Well, that's no news".

I don't really care who is going to be The Riddler just as long as The Riddler is in the next Batman movie.

Unfortunately, I doubt Harley Quinn will be cast even for a small cameo. Perhaps referred to in dialogue yet I'll be surprised to expect anything else.

However, I am highly anticipating this and am curious if they explore The Riddler character.
