Im more an more against a remake though the more i hear the less i care
At this point, I'll take anything. Everything under the sun is being remade. I bet 5 years from now they'll be remakes of remakes and prequels to go along with them.

Bloody - D posted this on face book, as Evil Dead's new logo. Seems par for the course for this reboot....average.

Looks like a Rob Zombie design.

What was awkward about the end of ED1?

No i dont mean the ending in its self was awkward, but it would have been impossible to create a direct sequel. The book was destroyed, the ending of the first one led right up to him being attacked by a spirit. Had they started right from there without the re-imagining, it would have been hard to do.

I disagree. It's one of my several reasons for thinking II was a step down. They could've easily started with Ash being taken through the forest and dumped in the puddle.

The Evil Dead films are awesome, even ED1 with its plasticine sfx. Actually, especially ED1 with its plasticine sfx, lol. You gotta love the idea of a director remaking his/her own film, although this can, and does, go wrong. But Raimi won't muck this up. I know he won't. If he remakes ED1/2/3? Great. If he continues the story? FSMdamn, that'll be sweet! One of my most hotly anticipated films of 2012.

I thought Raimi was Producer on the film? He must have some sort of influence on it, I would have thought. At least I really hope so. And Cody wrote Juno, a fantastic film I am not ashamed to admit I own. But, and this could be bad for me, I know, I haven't seen either Jennifer's Body or any of her other work as far as I know, so maybe i'm completely missing something here?

Damnit! I really hate being ignorant of things like this, lol.
