I think there needs to be a female protagonist in this film like Rami's "Within the Woods" but only done right (like a female "Ash" counterpart who is the "Final girl" of the film all alone, caked in blood from head to toe (of course wearing jeans and shirt) with a double barrel shotgun in her hand staggering through the cabin and shooting deadites...well we need a another Ripley style female protagonist in a horror film.)

I love Evil Dead. I love the idea of a remake but I was already under the impression that Part II was sort of a remake.

Yeah the first 15 minutes are essential a shortened version of 1, only because, i think, because ED1 ended in such an awkward fashion that wouldnt allow for a straight up sequel.

Im more an more against a remake though the more i hear the less i care

At this point, I'll take anything. Everything under the sun is being remade. I bet 5 years from now they'll be remakes of remakes and prequels to go along with them.
