Default Day of the Dead (original 1985)

O.K., I know I'm going to get ripped a new one for creating this thread... but believe me I couldn't find one for the original Day of the Dead. Anyways, I think Day is probably my second favorite zombie movie, after the original Dawn, and I have written a review and a drinking game for the movie. It is on my website if you're interested, click on my sig. and leave a comment...

Like I just said in the other thread, Day is arguably the worst in the series. Why? Because even for a film based on a zombie epidemic it's completely unbelievable. It's campy, and the premise itself is campy, not to mention the acting and the script.

Dawn, is my favorite of the series, not to mention favorite horror film of all time. It holds a special place in my heart as the first horror film I ever truly loved. It was the 3rd Horror movie I ever watched.

I like the movie, I can see Menasyng's point, but I like cheese and bad acting. Captain Rhodes cracks me up, as does Steel... that Miguel guy is terrible though... "So fucking what"... I cringe every time I see him say that line. The special effects were top notch though... to bad there weren't enough of them.

They should have utilized Romero's original screenplay of Day for the remake. Then I would be interested in seeing it.

I back and forth as to which is my favorite, but this spends a lot of time at the top. I feel like it has the most interesting, and well developed characters.

Exclamation

It had the best gore effects hands down within the series. You got to give it that.

Day is the least favoite of the 3.... I'm not saying it's bad, but compared to Dawn, it's not thattt great.

Day takes 3rd place out of the original trilogy... but that doesn't mean that I don't like it. Hell, I got it second round in the draft.
