I Stand Alone is great tho. Enter the Void is fascinating
I would consider it a prequel as it just goes on in one line..

Me too. In fact he is right in what he's doing. Of course it's harsh and brutal, but it makes sense considering the misery he is going through. I haven't seen so far a movie, which depicts so brutally the lack of perspective and total loneliness of a human being. One of Noe's many masterpieces. He truly delivers and gives the term bitterness a whole new meaning. A killer film.

Yes, a disclaimer pops up and prompts the squeamish in the audience to leave the theater now. Quite original and funny, but the fun soon stops after the film rolls on again. I still have to purchase the DVD of it, but that's not so easy...

Where to begin with I Stand Alone. What a honest portrait of a broken man. Not for everyone! I love Gasper Noe's work and can't wait for Enter the Void!

So much of this rang true to me. Does that make me ignorant? No, but I can see where he is coming from. Probably the most nihilistic film I've seen, though there is a kind of closure in the end.

Other movies to compare it to would be Angst or Taxi Driver.

I loved this movie, in this movie there are no friends, no place to cling to, no just laws, there is no excuse and there is no escape.

It is almost obvious that the director Gaspar Noe is influenced by pornographic films and gore. Definitely my favorite director, plus he is Argentine o better said french - argentine.

Just finished watching this for the first time. Really good, really liked it. The way Noe handles incest was really different. Most of the time directors portray it in a vile sinister way. With the 'Butcher' he made it seem like a sincere act of devotional love. Very different. If you've been on the fence about seeing this, don't hesitate. Worth it.

I really need to see this as Irreversible and Enter the void were very powerful. Void has its problems but visually its stunning and one of the greatest achievements in recent cinema.

Would also be cool to see the High Tension dude in a lead role.

I have no idea what I was trying to say with this at the time.

Anyway ... outstanding movie.
