It's an unrated version, just not the fully uncut 104 min version (Braindead). The R rated US version with most of the gore cut is 85 mins, and the one on the Blu is the US 97 minute unrated version.

The 97 minute version is Jackson's preferred cut.

It is? 97 minute version isn't still the one to go for, we have to wait for another release. Is it that damn difficult? The release of "The Devils" seemed easier than this.

Yeah, I quite like them too. I'm a big Hammer fan, so love most of their output, and will probably buy pretty much any title they release.

Yeah, the 97 minute version isn't worth my money. Nah, The Devils took 41 years to get an official release on DVD. Craziness.

That's what I've read. From WIKI> "The USA 97 minute version is Peter Jackson's preferred version, as he was given the opportunity to "apply some additional spit and polish" to it."

There's a little more gore in the 104 min version, but not much. Mostly just added plot scenes. It's been a while since I've seen the uncut version, but I wouldn't say there's a drastic difference between the two cuts.

I WOULD still like a release with both cuts, though.

I've been really busy watching a whole bunch of other shit this month, but I did get a chance to skim through it. It looks pretty good... An improvement over the DVD, but not huge. If you can get it for around or a little under $10 bucks, go for it.

I wouldn't pay much more, though.
