It's perfectly paced.

haha, ahhh you guys. Beautiful film? a beautiful waste of my time, and i wouldn't trust a thing that quack says on the comentary. They give out P.h.s like condoms at an AIDS walk these days. Of course they're gonna find one that corroborates their chickenscratch screenplay. Honestly though, it was a simple story that wasn't in the least bit horrifying with some neo-J horror cinematography tricks thrown in and few unlikely attempts to scare the audience by adding some VERY improbable moments like the one under the cupboard.
..0h yeah, and i hate chucky

Right so he's a quack. How is it psychologically improbable again?

But fascinating and entertaining.

What the fuck is with this improbable bullshit, and when has that ever mattered? It's a movie with ghosts in it for fuck sakes. Parts of it obviously aren't likely to happen, that's why it's a mooovie.

You really have a problem with me saying the word improbable don't you. This is what i meant. If you're gonna make a thriller, or psychological twist oriented movie, fine, infact great, but movies like this feel like it was forced in a few moments so it could qualify in the horror dept and those moments felt weak and unlikely considering the story and aim of the movie

that's a plausible criticism (though i disagree). some of the "horror moments" are jarring compared to the overall feel of most of the film........but i think they work. they're both "pillow shots" (mood setters) and "embedded artifact" (puzzle pieces).....they're there to "fore-shadow" in a deceptively obvious way (obvious in that you can't miss them...deceptive in that they only hint).....there to establish or strengthen sense of atmosphere and trigger your brain to prepare for/consider potential possibilities, without revealing anything too plot specific too soon. the fact that these "improbable horror elements" are such a juxtaposition to the rest of the film is what makes them interesting and effective........without such emphasis, you'd be content to stick with the twist and not explore any further.

if i'd level any criticism toward the film, it'd be aimed at the VERY ending, which explains away too much of the film and destroys much of the mystery and fun of interpretation(the first time i watched the movie, i missed the very ending....and found it to be a much better experience).

Forced and unlikely?...It's a psychological horror movie with elements of the supernatural...Who the fuck are you to say those things are unlikey?...I got advice for you...Stop watching horror movies because 90% of them are highly unlikely...

Just when referring to a horror movie, or movies in general, but that's just me.
