Since you asked, I spend my time killing my brain to enjoy myself and I work to pay the bills. I'm not even going to bother asking what you do since it's obvious you spend your time nursing that monumental chip on your shoulder.

Like I said before I wouldn't bother with this guy. I know his type. He's a porno store clerk who only likes obscure trash flicks that are intentionally bad.(which are fun but obviously there's so much more out there) He's as cliched as you can get.

No, you see I just don't run around on horror message boards trying to prove how smart I am because I watch other movies besides slasher films. You don't know what films I watch because I don't wear them as a badge like you all do. I stopped putting my little film ratings on my signature because I realized nobody cares.

Plus your opinion doesn't matter I never seen you rate a movie lower then and 8. Everyting is a 9 or a 10 to you. You would rate two hours of static a 9.

Wow...So you're insulting me because I'm intelligent and like movies where thought is part the enjoyment and the experience?...That pretty much defines insecure...

Movies don't make me feel smarter until I come here and am exposed to people like you...You see, it's you that makes me feel smarter...Not the movie...

I don't think someone is less intelligent for not getting the movie nor smarter for getting it...I do think people that use blanket statements, such as the one you used, as an insult to be incredibly ignorant...If the statement you made were true, then why would I ejnoy movies like Deep Blue Sea, I Know What You Did Last Summer, or the first 4 Friday the 13ths...None of those will ever be accused of being "intelligent"...Nope...I like those movies merely because they entertained me...

As for my "tired film school geek insights"...Well all I can say is I would rather be educated and know what I'm talking about then have to worry about how I come off to someone who thinks that going to film school makes one a geek...

This may come as shock to you, but often times movies are about something more than what's on the surface...Some filmmakers have something to comment on and use their movies as such...Some aspire to do more than entertain on the most basic level...Unlike you (and I base this on your comments here), I appreciate a movie that manages to be engaging and provokes thought AS WELL AS entertains me...

The fact that I can talk intelligently about a movie upsets your for whatever reason, but I don't and haven't studied psychology so I can't tell you what complex you suffer from, but it is a complex...

If memory serves me correct I gave The Crazies, Audition, and The Amityville Horror Remake lower ratings than an 8.From your post it's quite obvious I hit a nerve. I wish I could be a hip porno store clerk such as yourself Carry on..
