Yeah I agree, that's one of the coolest things about FvJ actually. I love the look on all the adults faces when they hear his name.

I'd kill to see it done differently, the concept. Hell, I still kind of wish Peter Jackson got to make his idea for part 6. I'm guessing the only reason the studio didn't do it was because he was pretty much saying how much a joke Krueger had become. But his script went from that, to very dark again.

And being early Jackson, we know it would have been gory as fuck.

What was Jackson's initial idea for part six? I remember that it was meant to be The Dream Lovers, and that kids were chasing down and beating up Freddy in their dreams, but I don't remember much else about it.

Yeah that was about it, Freddy had become more of a joke and kids used to take sleeping pills and the like just to go kick the living shit out of him.

And during one night Freddy manages to knock one of them out; more or less unintentionally. Since the kid is now in a coma, Freddy torments him, slowly regaining his strength. As the kid is unable to wake, Krueger just really fucks with him. Getting strength from his fear, until he has enough to turn the tides the next time his mates come back.

That would have been pretty cool, I just don't think the studio liked him going "You've made Freddy a push over."

It would've been a more interesting direction than what we eventually got with Freddy's Dead.

Yeah, director of part six really fucked up big time, especially when you consider how long she had been apart of the franchise by that point.

anyone else prefers Alice over Nancy as the female protagonist. I don't know, there just something about Alice that I really loved.

The original Nancy will always be the best final girl this series has ever had.

Totally agree.

Alice and Kristen are great characters but Nancy is hands down the best.
