DeathByIggy suggested I check this out, so I did. Um....really no plot to speak of and very very gross. It actually took me 3 sittings to get through it as I was feeling....well.....nauseated!! But really, I still kind of liked it in spite of myself. Someone had mentioned the "sounds" in this movie, it's true, totally mesmerizing.

Haven't seen the sequels yet...wait, is only the second one out? What is the release date for the third? Anyone?.....

I had to take a few sittings to watch SVD. NOT because it distrubed me, but because it bored me. Like, I really have low standards when it comes to movies, but, seriously, what the fuck is this. There was no coherent story or plot. The only dialogue I remeber was the satan quote that is on the MOTHERFUCKIGN WEBSITE ABOUT THIS MOVIEMAKERS PACT WITH SATAN.

This was not a good movie imo, but at least Lucifer Valentine (what. the FUCK??? LOL!!!) made what we wanted to.

While I will concede this is a bad movie, even terrible, Paranormal Activity was 10000000000000x worse, and this movie at least has the deceny to be obscure as FUCK so that the average person won't say, "Oohhhhh, looks scary, better see it." The only reason I found out about SVD was I was trying to find disturbing movies or something and this was atop someone's list.

I daresay SVD holds the honour of being the most CONFUSING FUCKED UP MOVIE I EVER SAW. I seriously didnt know what the fuck was going on. I once saw a movie when I was like 4 that was about time travel, and that confused the fuck out of me, and for the life of me I can not remember what it was called/find it, but I am sure if I saw it now it would not confuse me, but SVD still fucking does? WHAT THE FUCK???

Oh, well, I suppose I should congratulate Mr. Valentine on doing what he loves, as opposed to me, who probably never will make a movie, or even a book, sadddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd ddddly.

I got my hands on the DVD years ago when Lucifer Valentine's films were only available on his website and nowhere else. I know after re-releasing his vomit gore trilogy in a box set this October, he'll be finishing up BLACK METAL VEINS, which I heard is supposed to be a psuedo-documentary of sorts about heroin addiction.
