There isn't even a menu on the disc. As soon as you put the blu-ray in the movie starts, and thats where the real problem begins. Like l said, the picture isn't bad, but Anchor Bay certainly didn't give this the Evil Dead treatment. There is a lot of grain, especially in dark scenes, of which there are quite a few in this movie. l know some people don't mind grain, but l find myself distracted by it constantly. Also- and this probably goes without saying since its an older movie- don't expect to see a whole lot of detail, like pores in skin, individual leaves in shrubbery, or hairs on Ron Silver's beard. You get about as much detail as you would on the DVD.

All that being said, this is such a damn good movie. lts one of those that l always forget how good it is when l haven't watched it in a while. l totally forgot about the very end:
Spoiler Below
"Welcome home cunt!"
Thanx for the input. I will just stick to my Anchorbay dvd.

This makes me sad. I was hoping to see all of Silver's pores.

I thought this was pretty good! I enjoyed it and was never bored considering its long running time (long for this type of film I mean). It had an interesting screenplay, some good effects and a few disturbing moments. The ending was a bit over-the-top, but I liked how it didn't end completely happy.

while i think this is great, i would like to see a modern remake of it too. with a strong director and cast, it could be a big hit.

I think this movie had the creepiest ending ever.

"WELCOME HOME, C***."

should read the book its has much more communication with the entity such as the part where she is in the car and she turns on the radio, "good morning cunt" as the car goes nuts down the street.

I have said on various threads how i feel for the slew of haunting/possession movies that have been ripping each other but this is in my top five of the genre, this and the Amityville horror make for a good night of viewing.

I advise anyone who enjoyed this gem of a movie to grab a copy of the book it goes into great depth of ms. Moran's life as she looked over on it.

A rather impressive, if exceedingly overlong entry that really tests your patience at over two hours for what is such a sleazy tale that tends to feel far too classy at times for the subject matter, but still tries to go for the shock due to the extremity of it's set-ups, and gives it a completely clashing feel that is really hard to understand. The impressive nature comes from the brutality and utter sleaze involved in it's rape scenes, which are set-up to initially look like they're self-inflicted but gradually become evident of their supernatural origin through some impressive effects, and are rather enjoyable, but the length and clashing tone are rather hard to get over.
