Awesome movie. Completely underrated.

This is up there with my favourites. Some of the rape scenes were disturbing as fuck. The second half isn't as good as the first, though (atleast I think so). Definitely check this movie out if you haven't already.

I just watched it today,(yesterday I guess)and I would agree that the first half is not near as good as the second half. The second half seems like they didn't realize they were going to do a movie that was nearly 2 hours long and just needed some filler.

I do have a question and I don't want to start a new thread to get it answered, but on the IMDB, when looking up The Entity, there is on for 2010,but you cannot see the details unless you are a ProIMDB member.
Do you know anything of a remake in 2010? Or is it something completely different?

Hideo Nakata was supposedly going to do a remake. I haven't heard anything about it in years though.

I dislike it really bad when people say one thing and don't ever follow up.

Very good movie!
Hershey was excellent.
There seems to be hints that the oldest son has something to do with it!
That his sexual "id" has burst out and is attacking Mom.
Has anyone ever noticed that?
There are only hints...but it's there.
The "attack" music is VERY effective!

I remember watching this and being pretty freaked out by it. As the movie ends it states, Based on a true story, I seriously almost shit.

I always thought it was a cool movie when I seen it like 4 or 5 years ago. I remember the movie got a DVD release like 3 years ago or so. If I see it used some day cheap I will probably pick it up.

There is a book based on the true story too. My sister used to have it, I dunno if she still does or not. I remember me and my friend Dail caught this flick late night on Sci Fi when we were in high school and laughed our asses off.
