I went into this not knowing much about it and came out with my jaw dropped. This was a great fucking movie. The film did a great job of making me actually hate the kids because I wanted to reach through the screen and kill the fuckers myself.

But the ending. Shit. I was expecting an entirely different ending but instead I got a depressing, suckerpunch of a ending. Excellent. I can already imagine people hating it but I don't care. Me likey unhappy endings.

This comes out on DVD in January and I'll definately be picking it up.

Hell yeah man. Screw others. This move was awesome.

The screenwriter/director James Watkins is the one writing The Descent 2. Jon Harris, who edited Descent and Eden Lake, is directing the sequel. Others involved in Eden Lake are also involved with the film. I'm actually now looking forward to The Descent 2.

I watched this last night.

I actually really enjoyed it, there were some excellently composed shots in the film, and the acting was all round really good. I can only hope for more stuff to come out like this.

Spoilers: I gotta say though, I wasn't a huge fan of the 'take refuge in the killers home' ending. I picked it straight away and it wasn't very exciting. I still enjoy the film on a whole!.

I'm all for this movie. : thumbs up: Seriously, it smacked me in the face.

If you like your movies nasty, dis is one you should pick up... But if you cannot handle reality portrayed so nicely, pick it up anyways.

I think the director was trying to show us the mentality of any chav, younger or older generation - They are all seriously FUCKED in the head. I love the ending.

But in any event, it was a very well-done movie.
