Default Real Life Serial Killers

I would love to know other people's opinions on the myrriad of real life serial killers (some obscure, some popular) and the ones you would most love to see a movie about.

I've never been so impressed by SK movies. Like, most DEJ pictures are absolutely worthless to me.

I'd rather see film inspired by SKs or with certain trademarks of theirs, like Copycat w/ Sigourney Weaver <3

I'd love to see a movie about the Snowdon Murders!

Not a serial killer but I'm sure in ten, twenty years someone will adapt the Caylee Anthony case. I think it's surreal when movies made of trials you remember are made aka the adaptation of "Karla", etc.

One about Rifkin or Gacy would be cool...an actual good one...

There's a movie about Robert Berdella coming out sometime this year. That could be good.

Don't even get me started on serial killers. I've been obsessed with the whole subject since I was a little girl. Gosh I wish I had my encyclopedia of serial killers with me. There were so many I just can't remember the names. There was a whole family of inbred cannibals who lived in a cave way way back in the day. They would attack travelers on the road and eat their corpses. I believe this was in the Netherlands though I can't be sure.

Then there was a couple who had an alligator farm and while unsuspecting visitors were sitting down to dinner with them the woman would hide behind a curtain and bash them in the back of the head. They then fed the victims to their alligators.

It kills me that I can't remember their names...

Most movies based on serial killers directly are usually never any good, unless it is just inspired by a serial killer, example being Ed Gein inspiring Deranged, Silence of the Lambs and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I dunno, if they made a really good one about Gacy, that could be interesting.

Yeaa.. that's so true. I have never watched a movie thats based on the actual serial killer that was any good.. and it always seems like they're completely off with their story anyway, so it's almost like watching a movie about a guy with the same name. Although Monster was a pretty good movie.

I've been interested in serial killers since I was little too. My father reads true crime books and I just kind of started reading them randomly one day. It's a sickly fascinating subject.. lol.

Yeah, I have never been a close follower of serial killers, but most morbig things intrigue me in some way, so I know a little bit. Basically, I am no expert on the subject, but I know a bit. And most of those movies throw shit in there that makes no sense.
