Does [REC] count?? Because I absolutely loved it. Hands down, one of the best horror films I've ever seen.

Hmmm. Us Latins are spread out pretty damn far, but we are distinguishable by regions. [REC] is movie of Spain, which is located in Europe.

Mexico is South of the U S of A... but is within the North American borders. I hope this clears up any confusion. : x

Damn... reflecting back on your older posts, ye realize what a twat ye are and have been : x

Has anyone seen Rene Cardona Jr's films? They are good/bad with lots of European faces.

Satan's Triangle - spawned from the trend of Bermuda Triangle movies.

Beaks - His version of The Birds.

Cyclone - disaster film / stranded at sea. Killer sharks! Great cast.

Tintorera! TigerShark - Lots of stock footage of sharks being killed If ye can look past that, it's an entertaining piece about a threesome tango(including Hugo Stiglitz and Susan George of Mandingo and Dirty Larry, Crazy Mary).

Night of a 1,000 Cats - more sleaze. This playa feeds his used up tramps to a horde of felines : P

Guillermo del Toro's Cronos deserves mention

Zantimisift brought up Carlos Enrique Taboada a couple of years ago. He's actually one of the best die-rectors down thither. See: Blacker Than Night / Mas Negro que la Noche

The Alejandro Jodorowsky stuff in general is worth a look. It's not horror per se, but his stuff is certainly horrific at times - and falls under the bizarre/surreal cult film umbrella anyway.

Yeah, Jodorowsky's Holy Mountain is superb. Not really a horror movie, but there's enough bizarre imagery and amazing costumes/set designs/grotesquery, etc to please any horror fan. Check out the trailer.

And i'm amazed that Cronos has only had one mention! Del Toro's finest hour, imo.

Are you talking about the 1931 Universal version? That's an American movie, don't belong on this thread. The Spanish version is better though!

Right. His great first offering with little recognition. It's a super flick full of heart, and I doubt many hardcore horror fans could appreciate it. One o the most original vamp takes, too.

Alejandro Jodorowsky is the man, I suggest checking out all of his work. I recommended starting out with El Topo or Holy Mountain first though .. if you can't handle that you won't be able to handle Fando y Lis or Santa sangre.
