Shouldn't have done that. It's technically just a long mythology episode... be sure to go back and watch at least all of the mythology episodes that come before it...

Anyone know what the episode is called where some kind of doll (or is it a teddy bear?) makes people go crazy? I vaguely remember... it scared the living hell out of me.

The episode begins in a grocery store where a bloody man with an hammer in his head is showed behind a glass door or something.

Does it ring ANY bell?

It's called Chinga & was written by Stephen King. Good mix of horror & comedy in that one.

Edit: it's a season 5 episode.

Totally.
I own all 9 seasons, a lot of books, memorabilia and video games.
I was addicted. Mulder and Scully had a screen chemistry unlike any other before(or after) them.

I even enjoyed Robert Patrick's character, John Doggett. Likable and pretty level headed, the criticism of the final 2-3 seasons werent justified at all.
The Black Oil saga was also my favorite of the whole series.
I could go on... but I tend to waffle...

Agreed.. The most important thing (considering the fanbases love of mulder) is that he was a likable character. I dug his blue collar outlook on things too.

Reyes was a little dull but not a terrible addition by any means.

Without a doubt my favourite TV show, but I wasn't always a fan. I remember watchin' the first two seasons when they aired (specially remember The Erlenmeyer Flask and The Host) then didn't get back into it until the flick came out in '98, at which time I really got into it; I was buyin' the bi-monthly zine, season companions, and all sorts of shit.

Around this time the local sci-fi channel aired reruns nightly while the show was in it's sixth season, and I managed to see 'em all, catchin' up to the movie. I still have a boat load of VHS' full of random episodes taped off the TV. Then, by about the end of the seventh season I got bored with it and stopped watchin'.

I'm currently makin' my way the through the series again (first time since I originally saw it, other than the mytho) and am lookin' forward to the later episodes I've yet to see.

I've got so many favourites, and because it's The X-Files, I'm gonna flood this thread with a few from each season that immediately come to mind:

And not to taint this thread but if any of you haven't seen Chris Carter's other series Millennium do yourself a favor and buy the first two seasons (the 2 best seasons of tv, ever) right motherfucking now. It's a darker, grittier version of the X-Files and Lance Henriksen is the fucking man.
