Honestly, the Wandering Ginza duo are both pretty bland entries in Kaji's career. She Cat Gambler is an improvement because it at least has Sonny Chiba, but both are still kinda forgettable films.

Yeah, love the Stray Cat Rock series. Really amusing.

I got a book in the mail today that has a pretty decent section on Pinky Violence, titled Tokyoscope:The Japanese Cult Film Companion.

It also covers Yakuza Eiga, Kaiju Eiga, etc.

You should check out Chris D.'s book THE OUTLAW MASTERS OF JAPANESE FILM. Good book.
