Return Of The Living Dead (1985) - BLOODY-DISGUSTING

Well, I searched for threads regarding ROTLD, and quite shockingly found not a single one. This movie is the fucking SHIT. Possibly the best horror film (or more accurately, horror comedy) ever to throw on at 3 AM with a 6 pack and a handful of xanax. Really, it simply one of the most FUN films I have ever seen. The story, the cast, the set-pieces, the hilarity, the blood, the fucking Tarman! I could go on and on. Lemme just run off a quick list of things that make this movie great: clu gallagher, linnea dancing fully nude on a sepulchre, hysterical 80's punk characters (and soundtrack), great practical effects (that living half-corpse), an endless amount of understated comic dialogue and one-liners (send...more...paramedics!), the liveliest zombies you'll ever see, Miguel Nunez Jr. sporting the same gherri curl he had going in A New Beginning, lots of skull biting, a nice downbeat ending, and oh yeah...the fucking TARMAN. They don't make em like this anymore. Do yourself a favor if you don't already have a copy: get off your ass and get the jam-packed Collectors Edition DVD that came out in september. It gets my vote for best DVD presentation of the year; it's packed with tons of awesome featurettes and has some of the coolest packaging (it glows in the dark!) and menu designs I've ever seen. Once you watch the film with zombie subtitles, you'll wonder how you were ever able to without 'em. MORE BRAAAAAIIIIINS!!!!!!

This was one my "Top 10 of All Time" list and for good reason. I own the older DVD from Lions Gate with hardly any features and just ordered the newest off of Amazon. The film rocks. Sadly, one of the coolest people in the film died of cancer. Mark Venturini who played "Suicide" and I think Colonel Glover is dead too, not entirely sure though. Linnea also rocks in this movie, as well as Jewel Sheppard, Brian Peck, and Miguel "Juwanna Mann" Nunez haha.
