Eh. Brando is a legendary actor, but his Moreau was really hammed up. I'm not saying the movie wasn't enjoyable or his over-the-top Moreau wasn't entertaining, but H.G. Wells painted the character as a genius monster who conducted his experiments on the island simply because... well, we could. He had seemingly lost his humanity in his goal to become almost godlike--his hubris was his undoing, if you will. It could be a scary and interesting character if played straight from the source material. That was pretty much completely absent from the script Brando had to work with, but the movie was still entertaining in a monster mash fashion.

Felt like he was playing the same character from Apocolypse Now.

(Not to knock your sig in any way, but would be amusing if you cut and pasted a skeleton or zombie for Gene (maybe the friend from AWinLondon) and a curent pic for Roger. Assuming you like the idea )

Wasnt a fan of HOHH, but Orphan was excellent. Most of the Dark Castle films have been pretty entertaining, and I'm hoping Splice will be a welcome addition.

Agreed. Orphan was a lot of fun. I'm excited for Splice. Got a good feeling about this one.

If you get a choice, watch the Hallmark version of Frankenstein...

It's much closer to the book than the DeNiro version, and the monster actually looks like he's supposed to (The Dr made him to be his idea of perfect.)
