I've only seen the first one, and it was ages ago. Seem to remember it's pretty much in the 'purile entertainment only' category. Probably good for laugh if it's on late-night Zone Horror!

I watched this for the first time last night (I know, I'm a late bloomer) and it was so friggin' funny, if you could ignore how the Djinn added uhhhh... after the last word of each sentence. That was annoyinguhhhh.

I enjoyed seeing the horror regulars pop up in the movie, especially Tony Todd, who is just so sexy and bad ass. I thought his death was stupid and far fetched. As was most of the movie. I got a good laugh though.

My favorite part is when the djinn says "Fuck ituhhhhh."

Yesterday I bought the Double Feature/ Wishmaster 3 DVD bundle for $10 bucks and the most suprising thing is I got it at stupid Wal-Mart, I hate Wishmaster 4 so I'm not going to bother with buying that one. They also had "Ginger Snaps 2" but I didn't have enough.

The first movie is great, so many good cameos, Buck Flower being my personal favourite, "bout all I got right now is a cigarette and a handshake".
2 was good, but 3, Christ, what the hell was that? Not one decent or imaginative kill. I mean, one guys wish is for "the two women I find most desirable in the world to be here, and in love with me", so a couple of hotties turn up and just kill him. There was nothing remotely clever about it. The prisoners lawyer in 2, now that's a kill.

That's the F in the A one? So fucking great. Stuff like that keeps the second one above water.

And the third one had a microscopic budget, or something. I remember it was overly-lit, there was a sword and a church. They also lost Andrew Divoff which was, to put it mildly, crushing. He's fantastic in the first two, he really went for it, full-bore with that role, made it his own. If it wasn't a decade late he could've had a franchise a la Englund on his hands.
