So I just watched SNDN for the first time last night, and I did like the movie quite a bit, but this movie is always compared to the Christmas Evil and vice versa since they are both Xmas slashers.

I actually like SNDN better than Christmas Evil now.

Silent Night Deadly Night 8.5/10

And I already have parts 2-5 to watch, but really nobody likes any of the sequels better than the first or find any of them just as good??

Most people like this movie over Christmas Evil, but for me I liked the Christmas Evil storyline a little better but damn they are both good Christmas slashers.

Silent Night Deadly Night 7/10

Part 2 is hilarious. Probably half the film is flashbacks to the first film, and the rest is comedy gold. Garbage Day, dueling eyebrows, and "Mother Superior" are all funny as hell.

I featured the original in my blog here -

Are the sequels not worth watching then?

I personally love the sequels. Part 2 is a definate watch if you like sobadtheirgood movies.

Part 3 is a pretty bland slasher but i still like watching it every now and then.

Part 4 and 5 are made by Brian Yuzna (directed 4, produced 5) and are typical strange movies you would expect from him. I happen to love 4 and 5 is pretty sweet too. Evil feminist cults + clint howard = fun.

Plus 5 stars Mickey Rooney who protested the first film so you've gotta love that. Also its a horror movie take on Pinnochio and it gets uber cheesy at the end.

HOLY FUCK!!!!!! Those eyebrows never stopped all film long!

Seriously! what the fuck was that all about???

Was it that guys acting? or was he told by the director to go apeshit with the eyebrows

That was the 2nd cheesiest thing right behind Horatio Caine and his one liners on CSI Miami.

Garbage day was funny though

I got the 3 disc collectors set off ebay for 14.00 bucks and it's part 3,4 and 5.
You should find that one cheap out there.

The first 2 are out of print and expensive, you would need to obtain a bootleg to avoid the high prices.

The site Ioffer is where I got my bootlegs for the first 2 films and they are excellent.

Timing here is incredible. My gf just located a copy of the uncut Silent Night Deadly Night DVD and if you can find it definitely grab it.
I can't wait to pick up the 3 DVD pack that has 3,4, and 5. The only problem now is finding part 2 which was unintentionally hilarious .

A couple of sellers have the double feature of part 1 and 2 on 1 disc for like 10 bucks, but I got mine separately awhile back.

happy hunting
