Default Ultimate Horror Novelizations & Movie Tie-Ins Thread

Seeing as I've not come across anything online even aproximating a nearly complete list of horror movie novelizations and film-tie-in editions, I've opted to undertake the task myself. What lies before you are the results of my labors, which I hope will spark some lively discussions within this thread. It is an alphabetically (for the most part) arranged listing of every conceivable movie-related horror novel that I've managed to through much arduous research.

Whenever possible, I've posted cover art for each of the novels, including even some of the rarest ones. My original intention was to only include novelizations of horror movies, but as I delved deeper and deeper into the world of horror tie-in edtitions, I found myself unable to resist the tempatation to include certain source novels as well. A few non-film related horror novels that merely happen to include the same title of a certain horror film have also crept in, I chose to retain those mostly for clarification purposes, as well as the curiosity factor. There's even a few "true crime" oddities that snuck in over the course of my research.

There's also some non-horror genre novelzations that made the cut, such as 'Escape From Witch Mountain', etc. But the overriding theme is novels that correspond to horror films. It is my hope that this thread will be informative, and that perhaps I myself will also be informed by many of you of some glaring omisions. That is my main motivation in posting this thread, to find out what horror film novelizations may exist that I am unaware of.

When informing me of horror film related novels that have not been listed here, I humbly request that the majority of such additions will be novelizations rather than merely novels that served as source material for eventual movies, as I feel there are already far too many of those included on this list as is.

Also, I will be making some some additions myself after this initial alpahbetical list has been posted in its entirety, including the Universal Monster tie-ins ( among them those wonderfull and obscure little treats authored by Ramsey Campbell writing as "Carl Dreadstone), the 'Alien'/'Aliens' series, the 'Predator' books, Black Flame's 'Friday the 13th' and Nightmare On Elm Street' spin-offs, and a few others as well. So those will be forthcoming, as I am well aware of their existence.

NOTE: Concernig the omission of numerous Stephen King novels--

this thread is mainly intended to be focused on horror movie NOVELIZATIONS, not source novels for films. That being said, I ended up including many source novels on this, mainly because of how cool some of the artwork was, and how they tied in with the relase of the film. I had purposely shied away from including any King novels, because his books are all so well known and very mainsteam, the majority of them as famous or mosre so than the movies they spawned. However, I was so impressed by some of the old edtions of his early 80's classics that I decided to include many of those from which various notable films have been derived. But I know I left out tons..."Thinner', 'Needfull Things', The Stand', etc., etc. Honestly, this thread is not about Stephen King books. The ones I did include are more of an added bonus than anything.

As far as I can tell, this will be the most definitive and comprehensive list of horror film related novels available online, and I chose B-D for it's first official cyber-home because I also consider it my own.

So, without further ado, here my list, compiled with much love (as well as a little blood sweat & tears) and shared with you all for personal amusement as well as informative purposes. Hope you all enjoy!

Just added the 'Amityville' novels to the "A" section of my initial post, check 'em out (some gorgeous cover art on a few of those, if I do say so myself)...

Yea, and it was actually penned by the "amazing H.G. Lewis" himself! He also constructed novelizations for 'Two-Thousand Maniacs' and 'Color Me Blood Red' (which I will post entries for according to proper alphabetical placement)!
