But big events always come under unnecessarily harsh criticism. Every panel and line is dissected and complained about. Whereas, your standard story-arc is usually read just for the fun of it. For me, atleast, while I enjoyed WWH quite a bit -- I already knew what to expect, and the mild twists in the story were already guessed months in advance. Whereas for 'Planet Hulk' I had no expectations whatsoever, so I was pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed the story as much as I did. On a side note, anyone read 'Batman & the Outsider's that came out this month? It was surprisingly good, probably the only book this year from DC that I added instantly. Good team dynamics and nice character choices, it's almost DC's version of the ground-level 'New Avengers' (in terms of characters and smaller scale of missions).

i feel the same way...Planet Hulk was a breath of fresh air for long time hulk fans who finally saw that the green man wasnt the biggest and baddest....where as planet hulk was already ruined or guessed or whattever you wantto call it months in advance...
Thats good to hear about the DC books...i dropped them all....maybe a fables here and there but thats about it...

I've been a Hulk fan since I was a little kid, but I don't know what to say...maybe it was just because my expectations were somewhat high, but I just couldn't get into Planet Hulk any of the times I tried, but I could get into World War Hulk from jumpstreet. I don't really know how to explain it, but I'm not going to be part of the group Straker mentioned and pretend I like something that I don't or vice versa. Anyway, on the subject of Batman & The Outsiders...it looked kind of interesting, but I can't say I checked it out. I haven't given up on DC the way PnG has...but I definitley read substantially less DC now than in the past. Of the forty or so books I collect...about a third are DC. I pretty much just read Jonah Hex, Justice League, Batman & Detective, and pretty much everything Geoff Johns writes. Other than that...the only DC I really read is Vertigo/Wildstorm stuff, and even that's not all that much (especially with Y: The Last Man ending with the next issue & Ex Machina going out within the year)

It's the best thing since Rebirth...which is one of the greatest GL stories ever told, maybe even the greatest. Geoff Johns is the best thing to ever happen to the Green Lantern Corps.

Now that Demonoid is dead, I need a new site to get my golden age(and some newer) comics from. Anyone wanna hook me up in a pm with some sites, or a name? It would be appreciated.

Fear Agent: The Last Goodbye #4- Answers a lot of questions I had as to how the technology came about. Definitely some political commentary thrown in there. Great ending to the first arc.
The Walking Dead #44- Pretty damn intense.
