Were those any good? I got the first issue, but then I forgot about the series and didn't see it on the racks.
They aren't that good. And what's really annoying is that Avatar releases more covers for the issues than they do releasing new ones. One issue has four different covers. I almost wound up buying one I already had because of that.

Ghost Rider #1(Marvel 6 pt. series): very good comic I must say. Never really read a Ghost Rider comic before, but this was somethin else.

House Of M #1-2 : I know I'm a lil late to start these, but hey.....been left behind lately with comics. either way, VERY GOOD.

All-Star Batman And Robin The Boy Wonder #1-2: Jim Lee n' Frank Miller... dont need to say anymore.

i just read these too, and i think theyre HORRIBLE... i dont know if thats the same you mean by "dont need to say anymore"...

frank miller has totally missed the point of the batman's personality and the dialogue and thought boxes are those of insane or confused people... no amount of jim lee's art can help this shit project... if frank miller wasnt ultra-known from various great projects he would have been fired before issue #1 ever got through the editors... but i guess having his name on a crap comic sells better than an actual good comic written by an unknown...

Hey now...show a little fucking respect. Not only is Frank Miller (along with Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, etc) responsible for bringing comics to the level of respect they are today, he's responsible for Batman: Year One, and The Dark Knight Returns...probably the two greatest Batman stories ever told. That said, I'm not really digging All-Star Batman & Robin yet either. I think the story's already been told wonderfully in Jeph Loeb's Dark Victory arc, and this is just more or less a rehash that really isn't necessary. I really don't like the combination of him and Jim Lee either to be honest. Jim Lee's been my favorite artist since I was a kid reading his and Claremont's Uncanny X-Men, but he really doesn't mesh at all with Frank Miller's gritty style. I still think the book's better than a lot of the worthless shit on the stands, it's just impossibly hard to live up to expectations, and it could very well get light years better later in their run. Don't lose all faith.
