Recently read The Hunger Games, and Catching Fire. The Hunger games was damn good, from beginnign to end. Everything was fleshed out, and paced nicely, and it ended on an awesome cliffhanger. Catching Fire was good. It was great until it got to the actual games. I felt like the games could have been longer, or more detailed or something. It just felt like the ending to the 2nd book felt kind of abrupt. I still enjoyed it though. Starting Mockingjay soon.

I'm on a wait list right now for Mockingjay at my local library. I couldn't wait to read the second one and actually bought it on my kindle. Anyways, to bide my time until it does come in I just finished "Miss Peregrin's Home for Peculiar Children". Gotta say I was expecting something a little more creepy and haunted, not some childish romp that failed to be as dark as it had claimed to be. I also don't care for first person narrative in the form of a teenager. It dumbs down the entire story. When you attempt to grasp the mind of a teenager you get the depth of a teenager thus creating a sub par book IMO.

Cirque du Freak vol 3

I've been zipping trough these books in a single day. Super easy and super absorbing. I kinda wanna hold volume five hostage at the library. There's someone who is one volume ahead of me and they take forever to return the book. When they finally do return it I'll have both in possession, read them, return it, and move on without having to wait on any slow pokes. I'm probably talking about a 7th grader here...
