The Dresden Dolls - BLOODY-DISGUSTING

This band are one of my absolute favourite bands. I never get tired of hearing of any of their songs, both albums they have are fantastic and they have quite a not unique but rare sound that is very refreshing in this world of either heavy basslines or insane guitaring and screaming vocalists.

For anyone who has no idea about this band, here are some songs from their latest album (the song is from Oh Virginia - album)

Even if ou don't like this band, what are your thoughts on them? Some people say that they try to hard but the drummer (especially live) is just fantastic and some of their shows are insanely entertaining.

I couldn't name or song or anything like that but I've heard a few of them and I didn't mind it. I actually liked them. That one song with the piano all over the place is awesome.

There's many with the piano all voer the place

I think Gravity you might be thinking of though... either way it's al good. It could be argued it all sounds the same... but Half Jack is what confirmed my love for them. That song is so emotional and moving. Love it. Good to see a non-hater

I agree that the new album isn't as good, but I still have enjoyed it a good amount. I'd definitely count myself as a fan.

I do like them a good deal. I haven't given the new album a real solid listen yet, but I love their style. The 'punk-cabaret' thing they sell is quite fun.

Although she's a few years older than me, Amanda Palmer is from my town and we share several common friends. I used to go see them at random empty bars around the Boston suburbs, where everybody who was there knew each other. The only album I actually picked up was a homemade demo cd-r with handmade art that Amanda was passing out at one of those shows. I think the biggest show I attended probably had about 15 people...

, now they're selling places out so I'm really happy for them.
