Loved "The Loved Ones" (technically 2009 but I don't think distributed in the US til 2012) and what about "Absentia" (Okay I think that one was 2011 but I didn't see it til 2012)

Yep, I think they both count for 2012. I didn't see them available till then.

Thanks! However did you come up with such an internationally sophisticated list such as yours? I am usually doing good to check out what Netflix and Blockbuster are streaming.

Bullhead is phenomenal. As well as The Snowtown Murders.
While The Loved Ones is excellent, I watched that nearly 2 years ago so that's nothing new. I'm still dumfounded The Loved Ones has not been properly released here in the states.

Last year I purchased Absentia (DVD) and Prometheus (BR) and that's it as far as 2012 releases go. Only two movies. Two fanfuckintastic movies though.

And I know its only January so its too soon to tell but American Mary (2012) is generating a lot of buzz at the moment. The UK DVD/BR comes out in a few days. I may go ahead and cop that along with the UK versions of The Loved Ones and Mandy Lane. Fuck, the UK gets all the good shit.
