I don't go (and haven't went) out of my way to see too many as they're just not my thing. I'm especially disinterested in Paranormal Activity because things that go bump in the night are too silly.

But of the ones I have seen REC I&II, The Poughkeepsie Tapes and The Bay are all solid.

Seen it. Take The Blair Witch Project and add bigfoot as needed. Seriously underwhelming.

I get the feeling if Willow Creek wasn't directed by Bobcat Goldthwait no one would care and it would simply be another generic found footage film to add to the pile. It does the same things found footage films have been doing forever.

Thirded as well. Utterly hated that wrecked despite the absolutely cool looking setting. Maybe this new one will be better (hell, it can't be much worse).

Just finished watching Amber Alert. Serious candidate for worst found footage film ever. Never in my life have I wanted to fucking murder two characters so badly.

Well Amber Alert certainly won't shoot towards the top of my to see list.

Exhibit A was pretty good... it was basically the documentation of a family whose father is breaking under the pressure of growing financial stress and general paranoia. Shit gets pretty intense although it was never super shocking. Well acted (more than most films of this kind are) and definitely much more realistic. I'd give it a 7/10 or 7.5/10

Oh shit, that sounds cool. Becoming a fan of these found footage films that aren't typical genre flicks. End of Watch, Chronicle, The Conspiracy, and to a lesser extent, The Poughkeepsie Tapes are all good.

Will give EA a watch soon.
