Evil Dead finally came to my town. About damn time!

Anyway, I thought it was a hell of a lot of fun. I thought the tone was very Evil Dead 2. Gorey yes but also hilarious at times.

The movie is only getting a very limited release here so the audience I saw it with were all horror fans. You could tell to because everyone was into it. Easily one of the best cinema experiences I've had in a long time.

I saw it at the Nova in Melbourne. Gotta love the Nova. They always come to the rescue for us horror fans.

The crowd I saw it with was quite mixed. They were a few people that looked like obvious horror fans but there were a lot of older people as well.

Australian blu ray release

That's quick. Maybe because Sony shafted us on the cinematic release they're rushing it out into stores.

It satisfied but is the worst of the franchise. I def liked it enough to buy it. The Mia vs. Mia addiction conflict felt very 80s to me.

Finally saw it today and I was...pretty satisfied, despite all the hype, which is just so damn over the top. The movie didn't entirely live up to it, but all in all it was great horror cannon fodder fun. There were some minor distractions, for instance the intro - I didn't quite get the meaning behind it, it felt like a jump into the cold water.
Spoiler Below
They did catch here after all was set and done, but who the hell were the old strange people there and why didn't she wear that red dress anymore? Plus, why did her father show up all of the sudden, claiming that Mia killed her mother?
Need some explainin' here.
All in all, a solid 4/5. A more extensive review will follow tomorrow. Until then, stay groooovy!

The girl in the opening scene was not Mia. She was just a random girl who previously occupied the cabin and became possessed. It was a throwaway, badly done scene. But I thought it was pretty obvious it wasn't her?
