That didn't work so well in Tron Legacy when they de-aged Jeff Bridges. It was alright when they were actually in the game, but it just looked wrong when Bridges was supposed to be in the real world.

You are right, it is in fact a pic from his most recent film, Sushi Girl. Hyperviolent and Tarantino-esque - recommended.

I watched Sushi Girl a few weeks ago. He's truly the most eccentric character in the movie.
Here's a photo of him at the premier:

l honestly can't wait to see everyone reprise their roles. l'm perfectly fine if half of Episode VII turns out to be a reunion film, a passing of the torch to the younger characters who then take the films in a whole new direction. l'm also curious to know if the preceding events from the books and comics will figure into the movies. lf so ~~Spoiler Alert~~ Chewbaccas dead.

Dead Horse meets Cash Cow.
Whatever true nexus of sub-culture Nerdvana that the series created early on is now officially history. I can't think of a more mainstream, deadened down, so-popular-that-it's-not-fun-anymore series than Star Wars. It's been merched, memed, and culturally maimed into a complete parody of itself. When your Boompa says 'may the force be with you' as he scuds by on his Rascal, you know Star Wars is in trouble. Disney will bring Star Wars to the entire world 24/7 and in real time whether they (the world) like it or not. Disney has always done this. They take cultural artifacts, legends, legacies, mythologies, and icons and inject them with their bland, shallowly moralistic, ahistorical Mickey Mouse sense of things and then release them on the world like a lethally retro-engineered flu virus. At least Lucas had SOME sense of propriety with regard to his beautiful child; even while he was whoring the poor defenseless waif out to any whoremongering merchandiser with his grimey palm outstretched, Lucas retained a simple paternal love for this child. Disney will have no love because they just don't care. They will dash the brains of this beautiful magical child on the Rock of Banality, eviscerate its corpse while the magic still cleves to it, and spin its entrails into inert, lifeless gold.

I wonder if Disney will do to this, what they are doing with Marvel. I mean, when it comes to the Spinoff films and the like. If they'll have one block overseeing all the films to help bring them tighter and more in contact within the same Universe. Should be interesting.

Disney will suck any and all creative energy from anywhere they can while at the same time keeping a firm proprietory grip on the material. Most likely they willl have many people sifting through anything and everything Star Wars including fan based material. Whatever is dross they will throw out, whatever isn't legally protected they will absorb, whatever is viable they will buy for a song (of the south) and add it to the midas pile. They will horde all the material and protect it like a dragon protects a cave full of of jewels--ferociously. All the marketing, promotion, merchandising etc will be done in house, and they will copyright every last detail of the Star Wars universe--from the the design of Tie Fighters to the actual designated name Tie-fighters. And woe to anyone who uses any aspect of Star Wars for anything resembling monetary gain. I think the unofficial world of Star Wars, that widespread group of devotees who write fan fiction and create games and conventions and otherwise completely squander their time obsessing over Star Wars, will suffer extreme marginalization under the Disney regime. i'm wondering how much of the marvel staff will be drawn away from new and interesting projects to launch the new Star Wars blitz. With four billion on the line, I'm sure Disney is marshalling all its resources so they can squeeze every penny of their investment out of this thing. By the time it's all over, we will be up to our necks in Star Wars in a way that we never were when Lucas held the reigns. Look for Luke Skywalker acne meds, Princess Leia feminine hygiene spray, and Obi Wan Kenobi adult diapers at a retail outlet--otherwise known as a Walmart--near you.
