Well I finally got to see this and I really liked it! Of course it isn't as good as Inside (what is?) but this just goes to show the duo's versitility to the genre. This shows that they're not one hit wonders and they can produce incredibly well made more subtle horror as well. The film looked very beautiful and I loved the whole story to the house etc. Fantastic!

8/10

Despite some flaws I enjoyed this movie as well and to me seemed kinda del toro inspired in some of its imagery and being somewhat of a dark fairytale.

I have faith in these filmmakers and the synopsis for their next film Among The living sounds very promising!

Yes it did seem very Del Toro now you mention it. I'm also incredibly excited for Among the Living!!

I watched this movie because of this thread and I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed watching it.

My favorite scene was when..
Spoiler Below

The trio are in the house and they come across the ballerina on the music box. A dead ballerina on a working farkin' music box. I love how demented and scary and intriguing that was, the way she'd move awkwardly and the guy just punched it out. What a visceral, real reaction!

Not bad at all. I wish there was a little more connect at certain points, but otherwise it was a solid movie. As said before, not as great as Inside, but not bad at all!
