I went to this the other night and it was a great James Bond outing. Definitely better than QOS, but I think I would still have 'Casino Royale' as my favourite Daniel Craig era Bond film. Craig is the best 007 after Sean Connery.

Definitively one of my favorite bond films. The opening credits were absolutely incredible.

Actually, I do have one complain and that is the almost no screen-time Spoiler Below

of the current Bond-Girl. Only a conversation at a bar, a quick shower fuck, then the shootout and her death.

Bummer. Bit of a disappointment. Bérénice Marlohe was/is hot as hell.

It reminded me a bit of the old ones, not so overly-stylized like "The Girl...Dragon Tattoo" for instance. Classy style.

All the visuals and colors were just mind-blowing and gorgeous to look at, and I honestly thought the song itself was pretty damn good.

^Would be interesting to combine all the Car/footchase scenes of several movies that take place at popular locations so they play at the same time.

And even fist fights, like that cliff face that used in Star Trek, Kirk vs the Gorn, and then in Bill and Ted and so on.

The purpose of a Bond movie is to take hold of the baton and run with it. The concept of a remake or reboot for this franchise should be a misnomer because all it is is a template, thus pressing the reset button should have no place. If there intention all along was to build up to where they were in the past with M and Moneypenny, why did it take them three films to do it?

I got the impression they were condescending to the material even when they were paying tribute to it. Bond getting behind the wheel of a sports car shouldn't be a special moment, it should be par for the course, not a *wink wink nudge nudge* moment. They don't go for exploding pens anymore? Tell me about it.

And what a waste of a Bond girl. Gorgeous as hell and potentially a character with substance, yet barely in the thing at all. It's unfortunate because the only time you see female characters like that is in 30's 40's 50's film noir and Bond movies.

I thought for sure I would like this better than QOS but as flawed as that one was I might have liked both Casino Royale and QOS more than Skyfall.

Finally got arond to seeing this, best Craig Bond by far. Being a Bond Nerd for all my life, i love all the shit they threw in there, the Car at the end was great, even had that damned ejector button.

As big of bond nerd that i am, i dont mind the lesser screen time for the bond girl. Personally, they have always more or less been pussy for James to tap, only a few have actually transcended the label and been on bonds level. If they can fit the story awesome, if not then kill them off I felt that this chick was nothing but a plot device and Eve was more of a stronger persona, but granted who she turned out to be at the end justified the stronger persona.

I saw this as a mini-starting off point again, the damaged bond being re-built with a new crew and new mission. Great shit.

I kinda missed the fantasy elements, but a great direction none the less.

I would have wished for more car action, but been thinking they've purposely avoided that with the more serious tones they've been using. I just hope the cars aren't gone for good.

Best ever? Dunno, I may feel that way later, it's defiantly up there, but I want to weigh it out in my mind for a while before I give it that title. So many great Bond movies, so many different tones...

Troof. It is a solid entry in the Bond history, but I wouldn't call it the best just because I am still so pumped about it, after leaving theater.
There are many others, which I would call best or my favorite. The ones from the 60's or 70's have this special vibe and charm, which can't be replicated by any other movie later in the series. And this atmosphere/vibe makes Bond so charming and loveable.
To each his own, but this is my personal definition of Bond.
