Decent interview. They didn't want to make 3 found footage movies. The humor, and splatter was a conscious effort to separate itself from the other 2. Part 4 will be traditionally shot, again.
Huge mistake on their part. Genesis came across as bland and dumb. The first two films were actually pretty scary. No scares in Genesis.

I am looking forward to part 4. I'm sure it's going back to being a horror movie, instead of that schlockfest of part 3.

Part 3 wasn't schlocky at all. Just had comedic elements, and some decent splatter. Still shot well.
